Saugatuck Chain Ferry Sign
Hand painted replica…white with red lettering and dark royal border and accents. The sign is painted and crackled and then distressed.
Measures 14.5" by 22".
Saugatuck, Michigan has a hand propelled chain ferry that carries pedestrians, strollers, and bikes across the Kalamazoo River...and a great short cut to the Oval Beach on Lake Michigan...a great, great beach.
It is the last chain driven ferry in the United States.
If you want to cross the river to the other side and it's not in transit, you must "Ring bell for ferry."
